I am not able to connect to anything when connected through bridged port. The internet works fine through non bridged ports.
The only activity the bridge port does is assign public IP address.

19 days agoYou likely used up all of the allotted IP addresses. You may have to reach out to tech support to remove the additional devices so that you can connect your router to the bridged port and have it get a valid IP. Make sure that only your router is connected to the bridged port and no other devices.
You also won't be able to ping either the Telus gateway or your router on a bridged port from within your home. Nor will you be able to connect to your WAN IP or any service hosted on it from within your home network. That is normal for all Telus residential connections. You'll need to attempt pinging or connecting to it from an external connection. Either a device connected to a VPN or on cellular.
Lastly, once you're able to connect out using your router, you'll still need to answer the question I asked earlier about the IP.

So on the NH20 telus router, I have made port1 as Bridged port ( Tried 10G and also all ports before with the same result ).
Port 1 ( Bridged port ) is connected directly to 2nd router WAN port. It get IP successfully from telus (205.206.55.***). Any device connected to this router or the router itself cannot acess anything on internet. I cannot browse any site or ping anything. The same behaviour is if I replace the router with the windows PC to rule out any misconfig on 2nd router.
Port10G is connected to my other home network through a 10G switch. Each of the connected device gets IP address as configured in NH20 lan segment ( 192.168.*.) . Everything works on this side of non bridged port. It gets public IP address of 75.159.84.2* .
So telus is assigning 2 IP addresses to the NH20 router and in theory everything should works fine, except nothing works as for bridged port.
I cannot use whatismyIP on bridged port because it does not connect to anything. That port does not have any connectivity. I am able to ping bridged port gateway IP from a cellular connection but not the device itself as all the packets get lost.
Telus has been unhelpful.
Thanks
