Telus box Netflix, Amazon Prime 5.1 sound
It seems that I have 5.1 sound for many live tv shows, as well as Apple TV and Disney+, however it seems that when it comes to Netflix and Prime TV, all I get is 2ch stereo. I don’t see anywhere where there’s an option to change the sound setting for Netflix or Prime. I’ve seen a lot of older posts here regarding this. Just wondering if this is still an issue for anyone else or if there is a fix available?

We checked with our team and they advised the best place would be under Settings ---> Device Settings ---> Device Preferences ---> Display & Sound ---> Advanced Sound Settings ---> Automatic or Manual. Also, it'd depend on the content being watched of course. If watching content that only supports stereo, then that's the output you'll get. Hope that helps!
