T3200 and my own mesh wifi
Not tech savvy at all so looking for help. I have the T3200 modem installed into the garage and an Actiontec attached by coax cables on the main floor that has an ethernet cable attached to a Telus router (or extender?). I am wondering if it was possible to attach the ethernet cable to my own router (D-Link DIR-L1900 Mesh router) and connect all my devices wireless that way. What do I need to do so that I don't see both wifi signals from my T3200 modem and also the wifi coming out of my mesh?
Yes, you can do that, however, if you have Optik TV, it will need to hardwire or connect to the T3200M Wi-Fi signal. You could run both Wi-Fi SSID if you wish.
You can turn off the T3200M Wi-Fi SSID in the settings of the router.
