Sound suddenly lost reboot needed

Anyone else getting video and no sound suddenly. Only fix is turn OFF and then ON. Just twice in last week, a new event.

Last night lost sound after fast forwarding. Only turn off and back on made sound work again.

Are we now required to do manual updates, check to see if one is available?

What is the current latest update please and I will check mine
