Wrong, You do a early appointment request, you put the reference number in the order and you let the customer know that there's no guarantee of a early appointment. You also let them know what happens if a early appointment does become available how they will be contacted. I am a retired telus customer service rep and retired tech support rep.

5 months agoHi scoste66 while I appreciate your attempt at helping, you cannot submit an early appointment request when fibre is not built yet. Submitting an early appointment request this way is a recipe for an appointment being pushed further back when the technician shows up to the early appointment and the fibre drop is not built yet.
Credentials are not needed in the forum but if we want to source ourselves, I was part of the Drop Not Ready program and I see cases like these daily.
I wanted to double check in case things changed and here's what I found in our search page:
Do not Submit Early Appointment Request:
- For Order Based Drop orders unless Drop is complete
- Appointment is scheduled for less than three days
