Replacement for the Arcadyan Wi-Fi router

Hi all,

I'm seeing the exact same issue reported at Arcadyan, IPv4, and general flakiness | TELUS Neighbourhood where, after a reboot, my wireless devices aren't getting IPv4 addresses from the DHCP server, as well as general flakiness. I just had to do a restart of the router in the middle of my work day and ended up with the red light on the front of the router, so I had to physically unplug it and plug it back in, then wait the requisite 20 minutes or so for it to figure out how to IPv4 again.

Incredibly, that forum post I linked to above is from five years ago, and somehow this issue hasn't been fixed.

Can I ask TELUS to give me a better router? Or should I just give up, put it into bridge mode and plug my trusty, reliable TP-Link AX20 back in? I was hoping I could go to a single router/modem to reduce clutter and improve the runtime of my UPS ☹️

Hi rgsteele it sounds like you prefer having your TP-link router so maybe just set ours to Bridge mode and see if that helps.

If you have Fibre and the NAH then you can set the bridge mode on that and not use our router at all.

Let us know if you have any questions but we can also connect you with the proper team to see if there's another router option
