Receiving Repeated Notices from General Credit Services Despite $0 Account Balance

I am reaching out for your kind assistance regarding an unresolved issue. Although TELUS has confirmed that my account balance is $0, I continue to receive repeated collection notices from General Credit Services.

Please find my account details below for reference:

  • You Owe: TELUS COMMUNICATIONS
  • Account #: [Mod edit: removed info]
  • Debt #: [redacted]
  • Opening Balance Due: $39.10
  • Additional Charges & Interest: $0.00
  • Payments & Credits: $0.00
  • Total Current Balance: $39.10

I received notices from General Credit Services on September 24, October 8, October 16, and October 28.

After the first notice on September 24, I contacted TELUS customer service and was informed that my balance had already been corrected to $0.

I confirmed this again during follow-up calls on October 9 and October 16.

However, General Credit Services is requesting written confirmation from TELUS showing that my balance is $0.

When I contacted TELUS, I was informed that no written statement or case number could be issued, and that there was no need to worry since my balance has been $0 as of September 24.

Unfortunately, I have now received a final notice from General Credit Services.

I am very concerned about this situation and would like to resolve it properly.

May I kindly ask if TELUS could directly contact General Credit Services to confirm that my account balance is indeed $0, or assist in communicating this matter to them?

I would deeply appreciate your help in ensuring that this issue is fully cleared and that my credit record remains unaffected.

Thank you very much for your understanding and prompt assistance.
