PureFibre Installation in Ontario over Bell line.

Hello,

Telus PureFibre became available here in Ontario over the Bell  Infrastructure. I would like to make sure that I can use my own network equipment as I am doing now with Bell.

- What type/model of optic hub Telus would send me, is SFP module removable?

- Are PPPoE credentials available for the hub or can be obtained from the technician during installation?

      Hi,

I am also in ON and want to make the move to TELUS. Can you confirm if you made the move and if so what equipment you received / what speed option you went with?

Are you happy with the service?

      Thanks,

Hi! Based on the recent information about Telus PureFibre in Ontario:

    1. Regarding the equipment:
    • Telus typically provides a Nokia ONT with a removable SFP module
    • The SFP module can be removed and used directly in your own SFP-capable router
    • You can use your own networking equipment with the SFP module
    1. Regarding PPPoE credentials:
    • PPPoE is required for Telus service in Ontario
    • You can get the PPPoE credentials from:
      • The technician during installation
      • The NAH interface (192.168.1.254)
      • Telus technical support

Make sure to request the PPPoE credentials during installation if you plan to use your own equipment.
