31 days agoHi there, thanks for sharing those details! It sounds like you’ve done a thorough job trying to pair your remote. Unfortunately, the model RCS Smart TV Virouso (model RN-SM4025) isn’t currently listed among the supported TVs in our remote code database, which is why the usual RCA, Curtis, or Sony codes aren’t working. The code 007F listed in your TV manual appears to be a manufacturer-specific identifier rather than a universal remote code, so it won’t work with the TELUS remote setup process.

If your Slimline 2 remote worked fine for power and volume with your RCA RNSM4025, that’s a great sign, it means the TV is compatible. For the new Android TV remote, the code format changed from 4 digits to 3 digits, and unfortunately, there isn’t a direct “translation” or conversion between the two formats since they’re built on different code libraries. That said, the most common RCA 3-digit codes that successfully pair with newer TELUS Android boxes are: 004, 009, 054, 070, 074, and 075. We recommend trying those manually first, and if that doesn’t work, run the auto code search again with the TV powered on, sometimes it can take several tries before it detects properly. Good luck!
