FIXED!!! No need to replace modem.

- "Change the device login password" - skip
- Dashboard - left menu - click Network
- Network dashboard - top menu - hover over LAN - click on BRIDGE
- BRIDGE page - check ENABLE BRIDGE (opens LAN PORT dropdown options - click LAN 1 (refers to port options on back of modem)
- click SAVE SETTINGS ("applying changes ...")
- Logout
- Unplug power from Redlink Gateway device, wait 10 seconds, plug back in.
- Ethernet light should turn GREEN now
- Test - open TCC app, adjust thermostat, see if thermostat registers change.

5 years agoWhat exact problem are you having? The Redlink should just be plug and play as long as the setup and operating instructions are followed. Connecting the Redlink by ethernet should have no issues as the instructions do not mention requiring port forwarding.

I have the exact same issue...Telus tells me the problem is with Honeywell, the supplier of the device and Honeywell says its related to Telus. Anyone?

I have the same issue. Both of what Telus and Honeywell is correct. I'm sure it's more on the Telus side. I think their router is picking up the communication to Honeywell as a hacking attempt. The solid yellow light means it's on the network but, it's unable to get to the Honeywell server.
