Ongoing Issue with Cancelled Account

I cancelled my TELUS contract on August 4, 2025 and paid the fee. Rogers confirmed my number was transferred on August 12(Order #HWE7000002422129), yet TELUS keeps claiming they’re still waiting and won’t finalize my cancellation. This is unacceptable—I expect my account to be closed immediately. Terrible customer service.

  • There's a set procedure for porting numbers to another company.  This set procedure was set up by the crtc. If this wasn't done correctly then a account is not canceled.  Example misspelling of a name, address incorrect.  If a service with telus was in the name of Robert but you go by Bob and the porting name said Bob then the porting is rejected. Customer service is supposed to tell you why the delay, if they don't the if I took your call I fill out essentially a feedback which goes to the reps manager
