Old Telus pole needing removal
Hello,
I have an old TELUS pole on my private property in Canim Lake. BC Hydro was here recently and confirmed that it was supposed to be removed years ago when the telephone lines were upgraded and moved over to a new Telus pole sitting right beside the old pole. The pole has no wires or equipment attached — it’s just standing there. BC Hydro advised me to contact Telus letting them know that it is their responsibility to have this removed.
I’ve tried calling TELUS at 1-888-811-2323, but I only reach general support and haven’t been able to connect with the team responsible for pole removals.
Can someone from TELUS please advise on the correct contact or department to arrange removal of this obsolete pole? Since Hydro confirmed it should have been removed, I assume there should be no cost to me as the property owner.
Here are a few photos to help.
Thank you very much for your help!

Hello. This is part of our joint use pole program, and if the older pole isn't rotting or a potential safety hazard, it usually remains. We will however forward this off to the area manager just to be sure. We'll send you a private message to gather your location info.
