1 month agoHey nrog - we're following the conversation you're having with FuzzyLogic.
One account type syncs emails that are on the server and deleting them off your device won't delete them from the server. The other type will.
Are you using the Mail app on both devices? Are you connected using the Google option?

A couple of follow-up questions and something to check via webmail:
- do you have your email set up on any other device, including perhaps older device it wasn't previously deleted from? The email could have been setup as POP which can cause a conflict- when you search for those emails, do they appear in the results (they could have been archived instead)
Something to try:
- delete the accounts off your devices and re-add them.
Settings to review:
Log in to your TELUS email at mail.google.com.Click the Settings (gear icon) > See all settings.
Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Look for "Auto-Expunge"
- Set it to "Do not allow the server to delete messages automatically."
