land line
I was told seniors did not have to pay for their home phone land line. Is this true? If so, why are we paying when my husband turned 65 quite a few years ago. Please advise. Thanks.

There is a program for seniors who have Telus Fibre internet to get a phone line for calling 911, but not for general calling. I understand the idea is there be an emergency phone available which anyone can use to call emergency services.

There are some plans for Seniors but I'm not aware of any for land lines. Here is some additional information:
Mobility for Good & Internet for Good Seniors | TELUS
As far as I know you must apply to be part of these plans.
