Is this a scam? Sure looks like one.
I got a phone call from "Telus" offering me a 40% 2-year loyalty discount on my home and cell bills as well as a free cell phone. Sounded like a scam, so I hung up. They sent me this: Dear Cus...

100% a scam. Free phone is a dead giveaway that it's a scam, along with that discount, the name of the employee, that's not a Telus employee ID, and that's not a Telus phone number. That phone number is owned by Iristel. They're a company that's well known for selling VoIP phone services to overseas scammers.

WARNING this scam may not be over yet! If they had your email or hacked into your Telus account, they can order a phone on your behalf. When you get the "free phone" that you didn't order, DO NOT return it to the FedEx pre-paid label that the scammer will email you! They want you to mail them your new phone. You can 1.) Refuse delivery when the Purolator parcel arrives, or 2.) If you've accepted the parcel, ensure you return it TELUS. Phone 611 to report it and get a Purolator or Canada Post return shipping label from Telus, not the scammers with a "teluskoodo" email address and a FedEx prepaid label.
