Is home phone internet-dependent?
I am looking for a good old-fashioned land line. It worked without internet, cell towers and during power outages. Is this home phone service internet-dependent like so many others?

Community Power UserIt depends. Some locations support POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) over copper, but many locations do not have th infrastructure to host it, and are internet delivered. You can request your phone service be supplied with battery backup for power outages.
