how do i configure my TELUS router Actiontec T3200  to use WestNet VPN? ISEC PPTP ? SSTP ?  I called in they never heard of the term VPN, i was transfered many times? is there an unlock GUI that allows VPN ?
WestNet VPN in Calgary has lower latency to the USA then TELUS directly.  thats really cool . .

  •  i did get the instructions after sign up its just standard vpn straight forward.
I think their might be a loophole to get more options in actiontech firmware/or after market or just get a new router.

as for their site it loaded fine with me.  its a lot better than telus that still uses CGI frogs from 2000 .

There is no loophole for the Actiontec firmware. Telus's gateways / routers are designed for 99.5% of the users. The 0.5% of users out there that want some niche advanced features have to look at different options. Most people just configure the VPN on their personal devices and not the router. You need an aftermarket router for it to work, and that's assuming you find one that supports the VPN config required by Westnet.

You won't be able to set up the T3200 to use a VPN. It's a basic residential router.

Tech support doesn't provide support third party VPNs so it's no surprise they were not able to help you.

How exactly are you supposed to configure things on your end? WestNet doesn't seem to have instructions anywhere on their public facing website, and their support forums are offline.

It's also weird that they're using AI generated images and videos on a large number of their webpages, including nearly ever image and video in the slideshow / carousel on their main homepage. It's hard to take them seriously as a legitimate company with that much AI generated content.....
