(Post 2/2) The “important things” the salesperson had to say were the following questions. Are we Shaw customers? Are we on the $150 monthly Shaw bundle plan? What services do we pay Shaw for? Who and how many people live in our house? Who pays the bills? Who is currently home? Who is my cell phone provider?
Every time I said “I don’t know”, deliberately not wanting to share this or any information, the salesperson mockingly said “you don’t know?” (as in—how could you be ignorant to such basic facts—as if he were entitled to this information from me).
I’ve never bothered to report door-to-door salespeople anytime prior (as unwanted as they are), but this Telus “team” last night crossed a line.
If these salespeople were in fact from Telus, I’d like Telus to know that *for reason of this marketing strategy alone*, I guarantee to never purchase any Telus product or service in my lifetime.
… This is what your marketing strategy produced: a guaranteed “never-Telus”er.
