Gmail Migration issues.
Without much help from either Telus or Gmail, I was able to successfully migrate to Gmail on Jan. 20, 2021. I prefer to manage text only messages locally, so I use POP3 on port 995 & SMTP on port 465....

Yes. Most of that information relates to browser access. I use POP3, and I addressed the same questions to Gmail Community with no useful response.

Gotcha, maybe reach out to the tech support team in case there's something else they can do or is at play?

You can also try the TELUS Assist at https://bit.ly/2zFhxcg once loaded the chat module will populate on the right corner of your computer browser. When in the chat, you can type "agent" to connect with a chat agent.
