Digital box upgraded
I am not impressed with how Telus is sending out digital box upgrade notification emails.
As per Telus email:
You can dispose of your old TV box(es) and help reduce electronic waste by taking them to your local electronics recycling depot. In British Columbia, find your nearest location at EPRA.ca and in Alberta, please refer to albertarecycling.ca for depot locations. |
couple of weeks after, yesterday June 4 I receive a letter telling me to return the old 4K PVR by June 4th or possibly incur charges……WHY WOULD YOU NOT INDICATE THAT IN UPGRADE EMAIL NOTIFICATION to begin with? What would happen if I’d already taken equipment for recycling?
Telus this is absolute nonsense, you really must do better.

On this page from the Telus website it says to recycle the old boxes as well.
