Connecting Arcadyan PRV65B to TP-Link Deco AX3000 X50

Hi all,

I’m setting up my Telus Arcadyan PRV65B Wi-Fi hub with my Deco X50 mesh. With bridge mode off, the Deco works perfectly, I get strong, fast wifi throughout the house. I want the Deco to manage routing, so I switch the Arcadyan to full bridge mode. When I do, wifi drops completely on the Deco: the light flashes blue and yellow during setup but ends up solid red. I’ve set VLAN ID 35, priority 0, and tried cloning the Arcadyan’s MAC to the Deco. My in-wall Ethernet ports work fine. Tried power cycling and hard resetting both. Tried wiring the Deco into all 4 ports. The top light on the Arcadyan (Wi-Fi) is red, but the front internet light is green so bridge mode to be works correctly. I can attest to this as my smartTV is hardwired and connected with no issue. What am I missing, and how can I get the Deco to handle routing correctly to get the wifi working?

If your Deco X50 isn’t getting internet when bridged, here are a few things to check:

    • Confirm the VLAN tag setup: make sure this is set on the WAN interface of your main Deco unit only.
    • Connect to the correct port: Use LAN port 1 on the Arcadyan to connect to the WAN port of the Deco.
    • Ensure only one router is connected: When in bridge mode, only one router can request the IP. Disconnect other devices during setup.
    • Reboot both devices: Power off both for 1 minute, then power on the Arcadyan first, wait until it fully boots (green front light solid), then power on the Deco.
    • Skip MAC cloning, it’s typically not required for TELUS PureFibre.

Thanks for responding. Apologies, I cannot delete my erroneous post. Please see this post:

      • VLAN is set to 35, priority 0. The Deco has three auto-sensing WAN/LAN ports. The Arcadyan LAN port 1 is wired via Ethernet to Deco port 1.
      • The only device connected to the Arcadyan is the Deco. Deco ports 2 and 3 have my hardwired connections upstairs plugged in.
      • I’ve tried setup with and without MAC cloning.

Currently, Wi-Fi and all hardwired devices are working perfectly. Arcadyan Wi-Fi is turned off. Both the Deco main and booster are functioning correctly.

However, the second I switch the Arcadyan to bridge mode (FULL or LAN1), it stops connecting correctly to the Deco. I can connect a USB-C to Ethernet adapter from my phone to Arcadyan port 1 in bridge mode and get a connection with no issues. The problem only occurs when bridged — the Deco loses Ethernet connectivity.
