Currently, the TELUS TV+ app uses its own caption settings, which are independent of the STB (set-top box) settings menu. This means that any changes made in Accessibility / Display / Closed Captions on the STB will not override or apply to captions within the TELUS TV+ app or certain streaming services. At this time, there isn’t a way to have the STB caption preferences automatically apply to live TV through the app. We’ve shared your feedback with the relevant teams as part of ongoing improvements to the Android TV platform and accessibility features. While we don’t have a confirmed rollout date for this functionality, your input helps prioritize these updates.

2 months agoAppreciate you raising this. The subtitle size issue is on our radar, and we know it's frustrating that the workarounds aren't working. Our team is looking into it, but we don't have a solution yet. We've noted your feedback and will keep the community updated if anything changes

The Telus Support is substandard. These subtitles are INTRUSIVE. THEY DETRACT FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF WATCHING what you're hoping to be a positive experience for your patrons. I'd MUCH RATHER Watch NETFLIX or PRIME as the subtitles experience is pleasant. Telus subtitles are NOT. FIX THIS!!! CHRIST, have you NOT had enough time??? **bleep**...
