Bridging from Telus Router

Bridging means it bypasses the original connection and allows your router it's own directly through the gateway. Your router will pull it's own separate IP address.
If the VPNs work while on the Telus gateway, they should work with your own router. If the VPNs don't continue to work, then you may have an issue with your own third party router. Telus doesn't provide technical support for third party routers or VPNs.
Streaming uses relatively low bandwidth so even the minimum fibre package available, 250mbps, would be more than enough for simply streaming video. Even multiple streams at 4K. The bigger question will come down to what speed do you need for your internet use itself.
