Any way of keeping select recordings on new Digital Box

I googled the question and the Google AI gave a response which I don't think is correct, saying you can select 'Save until I delete' to keep select recordings. I think that is only for the older Optik box that I currently have. I would have expected we be limited on storage space in the cloud just like the PVR, not just delete every old recording. My wife has things on the PVR that are rewatched time and again.

Really looking for a definitive answer. Would like to get the new box to watch Apple TV that I subscribed to but can't live with old recordings all disappearing.
