Community Power UserI have had decent results with powerline wi-fi externders. They never get near the advertised speeds but are adequate for the job.

Looks like it's only for 2.4 GHz.- FuzzyLogic
The one I have is a Netgear and only does 2.4Hz. The TP-Link is dual band (and has an ethernet jack).
