VoLTE & Wi-Fi Calling

With Telus coverage/speeds being so inconsistent and poor throughout NB, it would be great to access features such as VoLTE / Wi-Fi Calling.

Is there anything that can be done to access these features on a phone that supports it, but Telus restricts?
I have read about various examples of this successfully occurring by 'whitelisting' IMEIs, or similar steps.

Specifically, I would love to see this available through Telus on the Sony Xperia 1 III - a premium device in 2021 with full hardware support...just not Telus support.
