Unauthorized Account Setup & Contract
My personal number is on Telus's file associated with my previous employer. They probably recorded my number when I called them to set up the account for the employer.
One person ('Sadki') from Telus called my personal number and asked whether I was interested in setting up a line. For less than $40/month, an amazing plan.I gave him my email address, and he sent me an email requesting my personal information. I told him I would reply to him the next day if I decided to set up a line. I clearly told him a few times the potential new line is under another company, having nothing to do with my previous employer.
I searched internet, and decided not to go with Telus.
Unfortunately, I received an email from Telus later that day. The email says I have an account and a mobile number set up with Telus.
I feel uncomfortable with the email from Telus. I phoned the number in the email. To my surprise, a new line had actually been set up under my previous employer.
I have called Telus multiple times. Every time, I have to repeat the issue. I also asked them to terminate this agreement. At first, they said they would contact Sadki first, but Sadki didn't even communicate with them. This was the only time I received two callbacks from the same lady at Telus. Everyone promised to escalate the issue to their supervisor or the fraud department and then call me back, but I never received a single callback.
This is an ongoing issue. I strongly recommend that you do not trust any promises from Telus and refrain from doing business with them.

Thanks, New to me then. But rewording my question, is a moderator a Telus support person. I assumed Telus Support are Telus employees?

I am so cynical that I assume messages and email are scams

Hello Paulwa and thanks for reaching out to our team here! This is not the way TELUS does business and we're very sorry you had to go through this situation. Can you please send us a message here at @TELUS_Support ? We'll need more information from you in order to investigate this situation properly, thanks!

I have sent a message to Telus_Support. Hope I can get a reply this time. Every supervisor said they would investigate the issue and call me back. However, I never received a callback from Telus.

My personal number is on Telus's file associated with my previous employer. They probably recorded my number when I called them to set up the account for the employer.
One person (Sadki Taha) from Telus called my personal number and asked whether I was interested in setting up a line. I told him NO. He told me he could offer me a very good deal: a 2-year contract with a free Google phone, 100GB of Canadian data, 2GB of US data, 1,000 minutes of international calls, no connection fee, etc. I pay less than $40/month. I admit this fake promotion attracted me. I gave him my email address, and he sent me an email requesting my personal information, including my address and company name. I told him I would reply to him the next day if I decide to set up a line with Telus. I clearly told him a few times that the potential new line is under another company, having nothing to do with my previous employer.
I searched for information after finishing the conversation with the Telus representative. There was too much bad news about this kind of scam. I thought I was off the hook because I hadn't provided my information to him to set up a line with Telus.
Unfortunately, I received an email from Telus later that day. The email says I have an account and a mobile number set up with Telus. To be honest, I thought this was a joke because Telus didn't have any of my personal information. How could they set up a line? I didn't recognize that the account number was the same as my previous employer's.
I replied an emal to Sadki Taha indicating I would NOT set up new line with Telus the next day.
I feel uncomfortable with the email from Telus. I phoned the number in the email. To my surprise, a new line had actually been set up under my previous employer. This was figured out after some trouble. I need to use my employer's information to speak with Telus. Their business was suspended, and the office remained closed for an extended period. Their line with Telus is still active, and they pay Telus.

I have phoned Telus a number of times. Every time I have to replate the issue. And I asked them to terminate this agreement. Initially, they said they would contact Sadki Taha first. Everyone said they would escalate the issue to their supervisor or the fraud department, then call me back. But never received a single callback.
I got a call from my previous employer. Telus charged $200 for numerous items listed on the invoice, including a connection fee, device fee, etc.
This is an ongoing issue. I strongly recommend that you do not trust any promises from Telus and refrain from doing business with them.
Telus limits 2100 characteristics in the post. I will publish my complete version on Reddit.
