Returned phone

I factory reset my pixel 7 and sent it back, now have a pixel 9. A week after my the pixel 7 was returned my bank account was hacked and money stolen. The phone before the pixel 7 was not a return plan. So I still have that one. Was no issues until I returned the pixel 7.

Hello Dave, are you assuming that someone was able to retrieve the information in your Pixel 7 and used it to hacked your bank account?

Yes .first time I've ever returned a phone and this happens.

Our options are limited here to be honest since we have no clue how some people were able to access your banking information. Were you able to get some details from your bank? Regarding your Pixel 7 device, were you able to reach out to Google's support to confirm if their devices can keep your information after a device factory reset?
