4 months agoHi Kevin - as much as we work with partners, ultimately it is the manufacturer that dictates what comes and doesn't come inside the box.
To be clear, the cable that comes in the box is a USB-C-to-C cable. Are you saying that you are unhappy that the cable in the box is not USB-C to USB-A?

That is correct I am not happy that I have to purchase an adapter or a new power plug as everything I have uses the USB A
Thanks for your response, and I understand the challenges, perhaps TELUS could demand better products from the suppliers…

The U in USB stands for Universal and the industry amongst others are shifting to USB-C as it has many advantages over USB A. If we demanded better products we would have more USB-C devices.
I hear you about having to buy new accessories. I have purchased USB-C to USB-A adapters but I haven't used them in two years as I purchased a USB-C hub charger that includes both USB-C and USB-A. It is annoying but it should be a one-time thing until the folks over at USB determine a new standard but even Apple has moved over to USB-C thankfully.

Everything is slowly moving towards USB C. The manufacturers aren't going to be going back to USB A. USB A to C cables are rather cheap to buy though. I bought a few for my iPhone as my chargers were USB A also.
