Possible phone scam
Just received a call from a girl named Evan claiming to be with Telus promotions centre out of Ontario but the call came from 1-780-463-5453 and came up as “Edmonton AB” on my phone. She claimed to be...
Thanks for bringing this to our attention — this definitely sounds like a scam. TELUS will never ask you to send photos of your ID or a selfie through unofficial channels, and we do not ask customers to go through other carriers like Bell as part of any legitimate offer. We strongly encourage you to:
- Stop all communication with the individual immediately.
- Do not send any further personal information
- Report this to our fraud team by giving us a call
Phoned Telus they confirmed it was definitely a scam. Helped me change my email address on my account just incase.
