No cellular on new iPhone/SIM card
I have a new iPhone with new SIM. I have my old iPhone with its own SIM. My new phone doesn’t have cellular data but my old phone does. How do I get the cellular to work on new phone? Do I need to rem...

update:
As guided by TELUS_Support, "settings --> general --> reset iPhone ---> reset ---> delete all eSIM cards." The signal bar was back and I could make calls right away.

3 years agoHello. You're right, you'll need to either swap the SIM from the old phone to your new one, or visit www.telus.com/mytelus and log in to do it via self-serve online.

Hi I swapped the SIM via self-serve online, and it showed the new SIM was activated right away. But after 2 hours, it still no phone signal. Do you know how long it will take? thank you

Hi LT1 - it should be immediately done. Please place your phone in airplane mode and then disable airplane mode. That should force the phone to look for a signal

Did you happen to leave the old SIM in the phone and completed the swap online before switching the physical SIM card on the phone?

i swap from eSIM card to a new physical SIM card. Yes, I swapped online and inserted the new card after. now it seems that I can receive calls, but cannot make calls.
