new phone but keep existing plan
Is it possible to purchase a new phone but keep my existing plan?
If you purchase the new device outright, there shouldn't be an issue. If just renewing and getting a new device (but not fully purchasing it) it's doable if the plan you're on is still in-market (available).
There doesn't seem to be an option for just a phone. Or do I have to go to a store in person? online it kicks me to select a plan after picking a phone.

Not available online, you'd have to go directly to Apple, Samsung, etc.
