Long Distance w/Nationwide Talk & Text 25

Hi All.

I have the "Nationwide" Talk and Text 25 add-on set up on my prepaid, but when calling domestic long distance, the call is charged to my account balance, and now, even though the plan is active, I get the voice message "Your balance is too low to complete this call" (paraphrase). This shouldn't be, as the plan should include LD, no?

The plan is described on the plans and add-ons page as including "unlimited anytime incoming and outgoing nationwide minutes".

What gives?

Thanks for any help!

If you are using data that is not included with your plan you will be charged off your balance. Can you send us a private message and we can have a look?

Could you please just  explain what is included in Nationwide Talk and Text 25. I have the same issue.

I checked my account and have no "chargeable" texts or calls in the last 90 days BUT could not make a 1-888 phone call May 25/25 without topping up my account.

        This plan typically includes:

        • Unlimited nationwide texting (within Canada)
        • Unlimited incoming calls
        • A set number of outgoing Canada-wide minutes
        • Access to toll-free numbers (like 1-888), as long as you have sufficient minutes or balance. You pay airtime but not long distance.

If you weren’t able to make a 1-888 call on May 25, 2025, even though you had no recent chargeable activity, it's possible your included minutes had been used up or your balance dipped below the minimum required for a call.
