ios26 and RCS issues
Does anyone using Telus have issues sending RCS messages ever since ios26 came out? Either Android or ios, they both seem to be hit or miss whether you can connect to RCS or not.
On Public Mobile we havent had RCS for at least a week, and PM uses Telus services. RCS is required for group messaging now, at least on ios, so somthing needs to push out to customers to force phones to connect again. MarcTELUS

And for the record it was not isolated to ios26, all versions and Android users had no RCS until today. Also no carrier services update seemed to be installed either.

Hey on2wheels - I haven't had any issues with RCS since the first beta of iOS 26 back in the summer. It may be worth disabling RCS and waiting for a bit and then re-enabling it

Apple likely changed something with iOS 26 that affected RCS. Have you manually tried shutting off and reactivating RCS on Messages? (https://support.apple.com/en-ca/122195) If that doesn't work, it may be a short time before there's a patch to fix it. Either on the iOS side or a carrier update from Telus.

We finally got a response from the tech support at publicmobile and it's working again (for most of us) now. Whatever they had to do behind the scenes got RCS connected again, and whether it involved Telus helping out we don't know yet as the full details haven't been revealed.
