Community Power UserI checked my iPhone and it shows end-to-end encryption is enabled. Are your friends on Telus or another carrier? All my friends are on IOS so I can't test it.
Yep, I’m enabled too and my friends (both on Rogers) are up to date. But if you go into a chat and check through the contact icon in there, it shows the chat is not encrypted.
I have read that it could be Google Messages needs to be updated or Google needs to turn it on due to their standard use of a different encryption protocol but haven’t confirmed. Surprisingly, I haven’t seen anything indicating that any one is using it or having issues.
