Cancelling a mobile (cell ) pay as you go
hi does anyone know how to cancel my Telus pay-as-you-go please. I'm over in the UK now so don't need now. I've tried MyTelus I couldn't find that option. I ended up with a bot which did eventually give me a phone number to call (which turned out to be an invalid number). There is no email I can write to. Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks GP

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. For TELUS Pay-As-You-Go accounts, there actually isn’t a manual cancellation option in MyTELUS. The account will automatically deactivate after 90 days of no top-ups or payments. So if you’re already in the UK and no longer using or topping up the service, you don’t need to take any further action. The line will cancel on its own once the 90-day balance expiry period passes. If you need us to check the exact status of the account, feel free to send us a private message and we’ll be happy to look into it for you.

Thank you for the reply from TELUS_Support. How can I check the Status of my account to see if it is still active or not? Thanks. I registered as GP1 on the neighbourhood but when I tried to use this it wouldn't let me so I created GP3. So GP1 and GP3 are both me. hope this makes sense.
- GP1NeighbourHi, thank you so much for your message it is very helpful. My understanding is that my monthly fee of $15 with Telus Pay-as you go gives me unlimited texts and also a maximum of 100 minutes of calls. It comes out of my bank account automatically or goes onto my credit card each month. ( I can't remember which).I haven't used the phone now for about 6 months. So does that mean because of no activity on the phone after 90 days the line will have been cancelled? and no more $15 are being taken out of my Canadian account or put on to my Canadian credit card?Thank YouGeoff
