Can I use tablet SIM in the phone?
I understand that Telus SIM for a tablet plan (such as Peace of Mind 5GB plan) is data only, but I am wondering if I can use this SIM with old unlocked phone as opposed to a tablet? I want to use it to create a WiFi hotspot and for browsing, not for phone calls.
I believe some have had success, but any texts or voice calls sent to the phone are billed at very high prices.

Depends on the terms of the original plan.
Most Telus tablet plans have the caveat in the fine print;
"Use on other devices such as smartphones will result in service outage and/or excess billing."
