Smart Home App Issues on iPad

With Telus Smart Home App on iPad, I find that if I minimize it and bring it back up, it is missing the side menu bar, the top purple bar, and a blank Activity area is open on the right side of the screen. I have to close and then open the App to bring it back. Do other users have this same issue?  Thanks.
