Does telus security call you when your alarm goes off? Do they even send anyone? Wife accidentally set the alarm off and it was going off for some time and never got a call or anything.

Hey TheCouzin as felixmcm mentioned, if your plan is not monitored then you won't receive a call. If you are monitored, we will call within 2 minutes of the event. It would be worth to confirm what phone numbers are linked to your emergency contacts to ensure they call the correct number to reach you
What is your plan? The following plans do NOT include 24/7 monitoring: "smart camera" and "smart automation plus". Those that include 24/7 monitoring are: "secure" and "control". If your plan includes 24/7 monitoring, know that there is a delay before the monitoring centre calls you.
