Fine Print Scam
Why doesn't Telus notify me via email when my 2 year contract is about expire so I don't get a $100.00 surprise increase.?
Hi rd1949 - Your service agreement is listed on your My TELUS account and can be looked at at anytime.
We also list the end date of discounts every month on the bill from their start. To easily keep track of your bill and service agreements we also have the My TELUS app for your convenience. Email is the least reliable method of communication as an error can prevent the email from going out. The best way to keep track is to check your My TELUS as that will be up-to-date throughout your tenure with us

In general we strongly advise to check your bills when they are due for updates or errors so you don't pay for something unexpected.
Typically we receive the feedback that not a lot of people read their bills but I am willing to bet that even less read our emails.
Instead of sending an email once a year before your service agreement ends, the billing team placea the ending of discounts on your bill. You receive 24 of those per service agreement and that's sent via email. All you need to do is click on "View my bill" within the email.
The email notification is sent the way you wish it was done, but the link is rarely clicked. We can't force users to click/read our emails so instead we provide ways to get the information needed.
