Account sent to collections

I closed my account with telus and returned my equipment in december 2024.  I paid the final bill in full.  My bills showed account closed. In January 2025 a zero balance,  Feb a charge for the equipment April a credit for the returned equipment.  There are no other bills. In june I start receiving calls from general credit for telus for non returned equipment so I call Telus and they require the tracking number which I give them.

They said they would look after General credit for me so when general credit calls me a week later, I said I explain what happened and have cleared it up with telus and they should be contacting them.

2 months later it appears as a collection in the credit bureau with no further contact.

1.  I have the bills to prove that I paid Telus completely.  (january, February,  march, and april)

2.  I Have the copy of the shipment of there equipment back to them and it being delivered.

3.  I have a collection on the credit bureau for $130 that has destroyed my credit.

What can I do to clear this up?

Hi, thank you for sharing the details of your situation. We understand how upsetting this must be. Since you’ve already returned your equipment and paid your final bill in full, this should not have gone to collections. Please send TELUS_Support  a private message with your account number and a copy of your proof of return (tracking details and delivery confirmation).
