Crowdsourcing: Anybody with telus on their fiber optic internet300?
Door to door salesman offered me a great deal on a 2yr contract. The deal is good but i was never impressed with telus before. So for those who have been with telus fiber optic300
is the internet connection reliable?
does the speed live up or come close to what it's claiming?
how is the telus equivalent to "Shaw go wifi"?

- generally. there have been short time drops on rare occasions
does the speed live up or come close to what it's claiming?
- exceeds advertised speeds. Symmetrical
how is the telus equivalent to "Shaw go wifi"?
- Shaw is better for subscribers; Telus for visitors.
- Shaw aggressively pushed their system to businesses in part because their cell service also connects through local Wi-Fi. it seems Telus expects businesses with Telus service to request the addition of the Wi-Fi, rather than using it.
- I just use my cellular data when out of the house.
- I have had hsia 300 on fibre and it was a symmetrical connection. I would see 340 down and up on wifi (when in the house not outside) and hardwired. As for the Telus public wifi they are years behind Shaw go WiFi as far as the number of access points.
