strange dial tone
My landline is giving off a strange dial tone. Something like a continuous droning . Occurs on my cordless Panasonic phones and my kitchen wall phone. Swapped phones around and unplugged them still the same droning …Cannot receive or make call with this racket going on !
Any suggestions.

husula48 Are you on copper or fiber? I was on copper had them move me to the fiber First clear phone call in 5-6 years. I just dialed 0 and through the noise the operator got a repair person saw fiber was on pole in front house and put a work order in and 2 days later i was on fiber. If they can do fiber ask for a battery backup for power outage phones go dead when on fiber. If they can't they will fix the copper.
