Router locking up in the middle of the night

So, upgraded to the 3gb fibre profile. Everything started well. Then the router locked up in the middle of the night. Wireless login disappeared/unreachable, reboot, and again, unplug the router and restart it.

So now twice a week (despite me rebooting the router Saturday morning when we leave to go shopping) the thing locks up, some optic channels available some day the service is down. 

I end up powering down and giving it 30 seconds plugging it back in.

Support is useless as any question is met with "reboot your router. did that help? no Lets try rebooting your router. Did that help? You should reboot your router. Didn't fix your problem? Should I abandon all hope?
