Paradise TV Show Did Not Air On Monday Channel 210

Paradise tv show did not air as scheduled on Monday night at 5pm on channel 210 (CTV).  The show Yes, Chef! played instead.  I had my PVR set for 5pm so I missed out on the scheduled episode of Paradise.

Why does this problem of missing and swapped out shows continue to occur across all broadcasters this spring?  I have missed so many shows due to scheduling - early starts, late starts and skipped episodes, incorrect episode order.  It is a nightly occurrence and I am frustrated as I pay a lot for Telus.  I can not trust the scheduling and the PVR can not be adjusted for late starts.  Shows will have the first 10 -15 minutes cut off "we are joining our regularly scheduled program" and nothing can be done .. a PVR can not accommodate for late start time that is cut off.
