October Home Bill increase
Change to your bill amount $2.46
Key observations Your current bill is higher than your previous bill. Here's why:
- TELUS TV charges increased from $51.68 to $52.40
- Taxes increased from $13.39 to $15.13
Kindly explain why there is an increase on my bill in the middle of a two year contract. No need to send me a PM, just explain why this is possible and allowed by law.
This notice was on my downloaded bill : "Notice of B.C. Provincial Sales Tax (PST) Change
Effective October 1, 2026, the B.C. government is removing the PST exemption for Home Phone (Residential landline telephone services) and TELUS TV (Basic
cable television services) and will require a 7% provincial sales tax on these services, resulting in an increase to your monthly bill.
This update is a government requirement that applies to every telecommunications provider in the province. For further information, please refer to the B.C.

Well isn't it too bad that AI could not give such an answer. Or was it actually an uninformed customer service rep? Thanks, I did not get or download a bill, just here is what we are taking from your auto payment account. In investigating this I found there was the same small increase in the spring.
