No Dial tone on cordless phone but can still make calls. Makes problem for voicemail set up
When trying to set up my voicemail on new cordless phones, instruction is " once you have dial tone enter *098 then enter your password".
When I make a call out I just dial the number and it goes through. But when I dial *098 or *98 I get an error message.
Are cordless phones set up to just dial without getting a dial tone first?
Some cordless phones let you dial the number, then press ‘Talk’ or ‘Send’. You should be able to hear a dial tone by pressing the ‘Talk’ button on the phone first.
