How to setup Fiber 5gbps to multiple devices
Hi there,
A Telus tech today came and installed fiber access into my downstairs office. I have two computers that can utilize up to 10gbps connections in this room (PC + Home Server). The provided booster only has 1x 5gbps port, 1x 2.5gbps port, and 1x 1gbps port.
How would I go about connecting the fiber connection to these computers so I can use the appropriate bandwith? Would it be Fiber -> 5gbps switch -> PC #1/Server#2/Wi-Fi Booster?

Yes you pretty much figured it out.
I have a similar setup that i use the telus white box only as a router ; DNS resolution happens on one of the VMs on my cluster.- melonandknifeNeighbour
In terms of switches, would something like this work?
In the modem/router settings, would I keep it as routed or would it be under Port 10G bridge?

The yuan ley un managed switch, runs from 100mbs to 10000 mbs speeds.
For the 5 gb network port on the wifi 6e boost wifi and the un managed switch , you can use a cat 5e network cable but prefarably a cat 6 or 6e network cable would be preferable.
you can use other manufacturers or brands of 10 gb unmanaged switch, such as sodola, moker link, vimin.
