Concern with new Telus TV Digital Box with TelusTV+
I am writing to share a persistent issue with Telus TV+ access that began approximately six months ago, immediately following the upgrade of my PVR box to the new Telus TV digital box.
Since this upgrade, I have been unable to watch several channels that are included in my current subscription package. These channels display a message indicating they can only be viewed while connected to my home network, despite the fact that I am consistently connected to my home Wi-Fi network and even hard wired connected.
This problem occurs across all platforms I have tried: the digital box, the Telus TV+ application, and the Telus TV+ website.
I have contacted Telus support numerous times regarding this issue. While it has been escalated to backend personnel on each occasion, the problem remains unresolved. Furthermore, all standard troubleshooting steps, including repeatedly resetting the modem and all digital boxes, have not rectified the situation.
Due to the lack of resolution despite multiple support interactions, I have stopped pursuing direct support calls for this specific problem, as it has become very time-consuming without yielding a fix.
As a temporary workaround, I have resorted to setting scheduled recordings for my favorite subscribed channels rather than attempting to watch them live. While this allows me to view the content later, it is frustrating that I cannot watch subscribed channels as intended, even within my own home.
I am just hoping now that this long-standing issue be thoroughly re-examined and permanently resolved on the succeeding update of Telus Home Service.
