Closed captions

We just signed up to Telus TV and have recently noticed the same issues.  CC on recorded programs doesnt work when viewing from the TV, but works fine when using the App on my iPhone.  CC on the same program when viewing live on the TV works fine. Any ideas?

  • Previously I had asked why Telus is working with two software designs, both internet based for the new Telus TV+ tuner and online version. Is the tuner doing something differently. I actually tested my TV from the laptop HDMI port and there is no difference on screen. The tuner just seems to allow the use of a remote to do the same display & sound. Still waiting for an answer.

    Yes some things work on one and not the other.

      I just wanted to pop in here for a fix I found (temporary) when closed captions work then stop working on recordings. I signed out of my account and then logged back in, captions worked when I did this. I’ve seen posts as far back as 2 years ago and it’s still not fixed. I almost canceled my services because of this problem. I have hearing trouble so I rely on captions.

        Do you have our classic Optik equipment or our newer digital boxes?
